September 24: COVID-19 Update
The Leadership team would like to thank all members of the community for their ongoing support and patience. We are happy to report that last week’s testing resulted in no new resident or team member positive COVID-19 tests. Due to the negative results a memo was not distributed last week.
We currently have outstanding test results with this week’s outbreak testing due to lab delays. At this time, we can report that we have all negative results with those tests received. We are encouraged that no team members or residents are exhibiting symptoms on terrace level. With these encouraging results, we are hopeful to re-open visitation to terrace level as early as next week. Due to the results pending, a follow up memo will be distributed early next week with additional information regarding visitation and progress forward.
Health Care will continue to be on isolation and visitation will remain suspended until final test results are received. Communal dining and communal activities remain suspended. Compassionate care visits will continue as deemed appropriate by leadership team members. Please continue to utilize other creative options of communication with loved ones on the terrace level, such as Zoom, Skype and window visits. Our main desk receptionist or programming team members are glad to assist you with setting up the process. Visitation will continue for memory care and assisted living.
We will continue to keep you posted about any further positive cases or necessary changes in protocol. Our next planned terrace level team member and resident testing will be held on Monday, September 27, 2021. Next week’s level of testing will be determined by this weeks final test results.
The Culpeper’s team urges all residents and team members to remain vigilant regarding mask-wearing, social distancing, and proper hand hygiene.
