September 2: COVID-19 Update

We continue to have pending resident and team member test results from this week’s outbreak testing. However, The Culpeper’s management team has become aware of two team members who work within the healthcare center on terrace level, that have tested positive for COVID-19. Both team members have been wearing an N95 mask and following appropriate infection control protocols while working. The team members are at home on quarantine per the return-to work criteria set forth by the Virginia Department of Health.

No additional team members and no residents are exhibiting symptoms currently and residents in the healthcare center on terrace level remain on droplet precautions/contact isolation. All licensing agencies and the VDH have been notified.

Communal dining, communal activities, and visitation remain suspended on the terrace level, in the health care center. Compassionate care visits will continue as deemed appropriate by leadership team members. Please continue to utilize other creative options of communication with loved ones on the terrace level, such as Zoom, Skype and window visits. Our main desk receptionist or programming team members are glad to assist you with setting up the process.  Visitation will continue for memory care and assisted living.

We will continue to keep you posted of any further positive cases or necessary changes in protocol.   Our next planned terrace level team member and resident testing will be held on September 7, 2021.

The Culpeper’s team urges all residents and team members to remain vigilant regarding mask-wearing, social distancing, and proper hand hygiene.
