January 6: COVID-19 Update

The Culpeper’s leadership team continues to thank you for your support. We are pleased to report that no residents have tested positive for COVID-19 through outbreak testing. Outbreak testing within the terrace level is ongoing and we will report any new positive results.

Current new team member positive results to report are as follows:

• One memory support direct care team member last date worked 1/3/22
• One memory support direct care team member last date worked 12/26/21
• One non-direct care team member who works in all levels of care last date worked 12/30/21

All COVID-19 positive team members will remain at home until return-to-work criteria are met. Contact tracing has been completed for all team members. All identified high-risk team members will be tested per Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services guidance testing protocol and will be closely observed for symptoms of the virus. No resident high-risk exposures have been identified.

The Culpeper’s terrace level remains in outbreak testing with the next testing date for residents and team members set for January 13. Residents and team members in assisted living and memory support will be tested based on symptoms or exposures. Any team members who are not yet fully vaccinated or have received a medical or religious waiver from LifeSpire of Virginia will continue to be tested based on the county transmission rate. The leadership team will communicate any further positive cases.

All licensing agencies and the Virginia Department of Health have been notified of the positive cases and subsequent actions taken by The Culpeper.
