February 11: COVID-19 Update

The Culpeper’s clinical team continues to test team members as needed. As a result, one non-direct care team member who works in all levels of care tested positive on February 10. This team member has not been in the building since February 4. The positive team member will remain at home until return-to-work criteria are met.

Additionally, we are happy to report that all negative results have been received from those assisted living and health care residents that were tested on February 10.

The residents who were previously exposed will continue to receive meal services at home until Monday, February 14, when further testing will be completed. All communal activities and dining within all levels of care continue as scheduled with mask use and distancing in place.

Per Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services guidance, visitation will not be discontinued although visitors are strongly discouraged from visiting rehab-to-home in terrace level and assisted living.

The Culpeper’s terrace level remains in outbreak testing with the next testing date for residents and team members set for Thursday, February 17. All assisted living residents will also be tested on this date.

Any team members who have received a medical or religious waiver from LifeSpire of Virginia will continue to be tested based on the county transmission rate. The leadership team will communicate any further positive cases.

All licensing agencies and the Virginia Department of Health have been notified of the positive cases and subsequent actions taken by The Culpeper.
