Director of Facilities
The Culpeper is now hiring a Director of Facilities. This position is responsible for the overall staffing and operation of the Maintenance, Housekeeping and Laundry Departments.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage the departmental expense budgets.
- Oversee, direct and develop the staff within the Facilities Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Laundry Department.
- Plan, organize, direct and evaluate maintenance functions including routine maintenance, preventative maintenance, grounds, and security, while meeting or exceeding high quality care and service.
- Maintaining records of upkeep on equipment, recommending the appropriate replacement of equipment.
- Direct the inspection, maintenance, and testing of all safety, fire safety, and emergency equipment; maintain appropriate documentation of all equipment maintenance and usage.
- Maintaining a supply ordering program that assures proper inventory of necessary supplies are on hand.
- Ensure that the facility is in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
- Oversee performance of all contract services related to maintenance/security services.
- Oversee renovations and future construction projects.
- Maintain high visibility to residents and address resident concerns promptly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Facility Management, Engineering, or Business preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in maintenance/operations.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing and communication systems; ability to read and interpret blueprints. Licenses in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC a plus.
- Knowledge of new construction, building codes and safety regulations.
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills and be able to meet the terms of the Community Driving Policy.
