December 8: COVID-19 Update

On December 7, The Culpeper’s management team became aware of an additional resident who lives in the rehab to home neighborhood in the healthcare center tested positive for COVID-19. The resident’s representative has been notified. The resident was immediately isolated upon testing positive.

All residents in the rehab to home neighborhood are still in isolation and will be tested weekly, per Virginia Department of Health (VDH) recommendations. Based on additional VDH recommendations, rehab therapy is still discontinued for all levels of care except terrace level residents to reduce the risk of transmission of the virus. At this time, no additional team members tested positive.

The Culpeper team is closely monitoring all residents in the healthcare, assisted living and memory support neighborhoods. Both VDH and all licensing agencies were notified of the positive result.

Visitation remains suspended until further notice for all main building residents. The Culpeper’s team continues to follow all recommendations from VDH and is working diligently to prevent the spread of the virus.

Please continue to wear masks, socially distance and practice good hand hygiene.
