December 15: COVID-19 Update
On December 14, The Culpeper’s management team became aware of an additional resident who lives in the rehab to home neighborhood in the healthcare center tested positive for COVID-19. The resident remains asymptomatic and was only tested as part of the weekly testing for terrace level residents. The resident was already on droplet precautions per Virginia Department of Health (VDH) previous recommendations. The resident’s representative has been notified. At this time, no additional residents or team members tested positive from recent weekly testing.
All residents in the rehab to home neighborhood are still in isolation and will continue to be tested weekly, per Virginia Department of Health (VDH) recommendations. The Culpeper team is closely monitoring all residents in the healthcare, assisted living and memory support neighborhoods. Both VDH and all licensing agencies were notified of the positive result.
Visitation remains suspended until further notice for all main building residents. The Culpeper’s team continues to follow all recommendations from VDH and is working diligently to prevent the spread of the virus.
Please continue to wear masks, socially distance and practice good hand hygiene.
