November 20: COVID-19 Testing Update

Due to the recent positive case of COVID-19 in the healthcare center, the second round of testing was completed on Monday, November 16 for healthcare residents and team members. The Culpeper’s management team is happy to report that all have tested negative for COVID-19. This concludes the need for two weeks of consecutive negative testing for healthcare residents and team members.

This outcome results in communal dining and activities being resumed for health care residents. All residents continue to be discouraged from community outings other than medical appointments. Visitation continues to be suspended until further notice. Please continue to watch for more information. Zoom, Skype and window visits will continue with appropriate reservations.

As part of Virginia Department of Health (VDH) guidance and Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services regulations, healthcare team members will continue to undergo twice-weekly testing due to Culpeper County’s positivity rate of 20.1%. This will continue until the county positivity rate decreases below 10%.

Going forward, the management team will share testing results upon return, only if positive results are received. Currently, there are no residents or team members exhibiting signs or symptoms of COVID-19. All team members continue to follow standard safety precautions which include mask use, proper hand hygiene and social distancing.

The management team appreciates support as we continue to make every effort to ensure the safety of residents, families and team members. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
