April 15: Visitation Update

The Culpeper’s management team is pleased to report that all residents and team members who live and work in the healthcare center have tested negative for COVID-19 for two consecutive weeks. With the approval of the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), the community will restart visitation, communal dining and activities in the Main and Davis neighborhoods immediately, effective today.

Weekly testing will continue for team members who work in the healthcare center due to Culpeper County’s positivity rate—currently at 7.9%. Since the county positivity rate continues to increase each week, The Culpeper’s team encourages community members to take this invaluable opportunity to come and visit with loved ones, as protocols are ever-changing.
Visitation for all other levels of care: rehab to home, memory support and assisted living, continues without change.

The team reminds everyone that continued mask use, hand sanitization and social distancing remains the primary defense in reducing COVID-19 viral transmission, regardless of one’s vaccination status. All infection control protocols must be adhered to and that visitation guidelines are followed consistently to enhance the safety of residents and team members.
