August 19: COVID-19 Update

We completed COVID testing for all terrace level team members and residents on August 17. These results are still pending.

The Culpeper’s management team did however become aware of one direct care team member that works within assisted living who became positive while out on planned leave. This team member has not been in the building and did not have any direct or non-direct contact with other team members or residents. Due to this, there will be no change in protocol for Assisted Living or Memory Care at this time. All licensing agencies and the Virginia Department of Health have been notified.

Visitation to terrace level, in the health care center, continues to be suspended, effective August 9th. Compassionate care visits will continue as deemed appropriate by leadership team members. Visitation will continue for other memory care and assisted living. Our next planned terrace level team member and resident testing will be held on August 24, 2021, and we will keep you updated on any further positive results and/or protocol changes.

The Culpeper’s team urges all residents and team members to remain vigilant regarding mask-wearing, social distancing, and proper hand hygiene.
