Once the Culpeper community was opened, word spread throughout Virginia about the exceptional care provided by Virginia Baptist Homes.

 

The attention and devotion residents received were second to none. Pastor Edward’s vision of creating a faith-based home for seniors had come to life.

 

Gift solicitation continued in the years that followed to ensure the mind, body and spirit of each resident was continually nurtured. Also during that time, interest and attention in Virginia Baptist Homes continued to grow. This demand, coupled with the desire to extend the benevolent ministry to other areas of the state, resulted in the opening of three other retirement communities: The Chesapeake in Newport News, Lakewood Manor in Richmond and The Glebe in Roanoke.

 

While each Virginia Baptist Homes community has a unique setting and features, all communities share the steadfast mission of providing “Dignity in Living” and uphold a common value system that reflects the ideals of faith and family. The values statement can be found here.

The Virginia Baptist Homes Foundation has been entrusted with a very important mission: to support the work and ministry of Virginia Baptist Homes by developing funds to help our seniors enjoy a loving, welcoming community, with quality care, security, and peace of mind through their lifetime.

 

We take our work seriously, but we can’t do it without the support of generous contributors who understand how important it is that our parents, grandparents, and friends can live with dignity no matter what their social, spiritual, and physical needs are as they age.
